Compost Machine Price in India

Compost machine price in India starts at ₹0 for a 10–25 Kg/day unit and rises to ₹0+ for a 500 Kg/day industrial machine. What sits between those two figures depends far more on body material, automation and site conditions than on capacity alone.

₹75,000 ₹9,50,000+

Prices are ex-factory, exclusive of GST. Freight quoted separately.

Two prices on this page are published and fixed. The rest are quoted against your site within 24 working hours — not because we are being coy, but because at those capacities the specification genuinely changes the number.

The honest breakdown

What actually moves the price

Two quotations for “a 100 Kg compost machine” can differ by more than a lakh. Almost all of that gap comes from these six things. Roughly how much each one pulls, on a typical mid-size machine:

Capacity 38%

The single biggest driver. Drive motor, shredder assembly and drum size all scale together.

Body material 22%

Full SS 304 costs meaningfully more than MS with SS contact parts. Coastal and high-humidity sites need the former.

Automation 16%

Basic timer control versus full PLC with cycle logging. Municipal and defence buyers usually need the logging.

Site conditions 12%

Civil base, power provisioning, exhaust routing and how far the machine has to be carried into the building.

Freight 7%

Quoted separately and honestly. A 500 Kg machine to Jammu is not the same as one to Noida.

Installation 5%

Included as standard with every machine. Listed here so you can see it is not a hidden line item.

Indicative weights for a typical 100–200 Kg/day machine. On a turnkey plant the civil and conveying work usually costs more than the composting equipment itself.

The comparison nobody publishes

Machine cost vs paying a waste contractor

Most price pages stop at the machine. The number that actually decides the purchase is what happens over the next five years — because a contractor bill never ends, and it goes up every year.

Buying a compost machine

  • MachineOne-time capital cost
  • Installation & trainingIncluded
  • ElectricitySmall, metered, predictable
  • Composting culturePeriodic top-up
  • AMCOptional, fixed annually
  • Year-on-year increaseNone on the asset

Cost falls to near zero once the machine is paid for. The asset stays yours.

Paying a waste contractor

  • Monthly haulageRecurring, forever
  • Annual escalationTypically rises every year
  • Fuel & tipping chargesPassed through to you
  • Compliance evidenceDepends on the contractor
  • Compost producedNone — you keep buying it
  • Asset at the endNothing

Cost never stops and only moves in one direction.

We have deliberately not put invented rupee figures in this comparison — haulage rates vary far too much between cities and contracts for a made-up number to be honest. Put your own monthly waste bill against the machine price and the answer becomes obvious very quickly. Send us that figure and we will do the arithmetic with you.

How to compare two compost machine quotes

This is the part competitors leave out, so here it is plainly. Run any quotation you receive — ours included — through these five checks.

  1. Same capacity, measured the same way

Ask for capacity in kilograms of wet waste per 24-hour cycle, not drum volume. Suppliers rate machines differently and this is where comparisons quietly break.

  2. What is the body actually made of

Full SS 304, or MS with stainless contact parts and paint? On a mid-size machine this single difference can be more than a lakh. Neither is wrong — but they are not the same product.

  3. Are installation and training inside the price

A quote excluding installation, commissioning and operator training is not comparable with one that includes them. Ask for it in writing either way.

  4. Where is freight shown

It should be a separate visible line. If freight is missing from a quotation entirely, ask before you compare totals — it has to be paid by someone.

  5. Spares and service response, in writing

Confirm spares for that exact model are stocked in India, and get the response commitment on paper. A machine 20% cheaper that sits idle for three weeks a year is not cheaper.

Price questions, answered straight

Compost machine price FAQs

Compost machine price in India starts at ₹75,000 for the 10–25 Kg per day COMPOSTO VEER, and goes up to ₹9,50,000 and above for a 500 Kg per day industrial unit. Machines between those two sizes are quoted against your site, because body material, automation level and installation conditions change the figure more than capacity alone does. Turnkey 1–5 TPD plants are quoted per project after a site survey.

Because for most capacities there is no single price. The same 100 Kg per day machine can differ by more than a lakh depending on whether the body is full SS 304 or MS with stainless contact parts, whether you need PLC logging, and what the site needs by way of civil and electrical work. We publish the entry price and the 500 Kg price because those two are stable, and quote the rest against your actual requirement within 24 hours.

Not automatically, but check three things before comparing on price alone. First, body material — MS painted bodies cost less and corrode faster in wet, warm conditions. Second, whether installation, commissioning and operator training are included or billed later. Third, whether spares for that model are actually stocked in India. A machine that is 20 per cent cheaper and out of service for three weeks a year is not cheaper.

Every COMPOSTO quotation includes the machine, on-site installation and commissioning, operator training for your own staff, a starter supply of composting culture, the operation manual, and a one-year warranty extendable to five years. Freight is quoted separately and shown as its own line so you can see it. Civil work at your end is not included.

Three, and they are small relative to the machine. Electricity, which depends on your capacity and tariff. Composting culture top-ups. And an optional AMC, which most institutional buyers take for the 48-hour response commitment. There are no licence fees, no consumable cartridges and no per-cycle charges.

No. We supply machines against a purchase order with agreed payment terms — we are the manufacturer, not a finance company. Institutional buyers usually route the purchase through their normal capital procurement process, and many housing societies fund it from the sinking fund or a one-time resident contribution.

Prices shown on this page are ex-factory and exclusive of GST. Your written quotation will state the applicable GST rate and the final landed figure separately, so there is no ambiguity at invoice stage. Our GSTIN is 09DCQPS1011G2ZI.

A machine is a one-time capital cost with small running costs, while contractor haulage is a monthly cost that rises every year and never ends. For most properties above 100 Kg per day the machine works out cheaper within the first few years, and after that the saving compounds. The comparison table on this page sets out both sides over five years.

The machine price does not. Only freight changes, and it is quoted as a separate visible line rather than being buried in the machine cost. Installation is included as standard regardless of where you are in India.

Send us your daily wet waste quantity in kilograms, the type of property, and the space you have available. That is enough for a written quotation within 24 working hours. If you do not know your daily quantity, weigh the wet waste bins for three ordinary days and average them — that single number decides most of the quotation.
